Sixth Annual Meeting of the IAMC 2013
October 28, 2013 - October 30, 2013
Quick Links
The main meeting will be conducted over two full days, and there will be an additional half-day on the 30th devoted to working meetings of several working groups. All IAMC members are welcome to attend the working group meetings on the 30th.
The purpose of the IAMC Annual Meeting is to (1) present and discuss the state of the art in integrated assessment modeling, (2) review the status of ongoing community activities including both multi-model studies and the activities of the IAMC Scientific Working Groups, (3) facilitate interaction with collaborating communities, and (4) evaluate and revisit the priorities of the integrated assessment community.
As with 2012 meeting, roughly half of 2013 meeting will be devoted to four sessions on cutting edge areas of integrated assessment model development and research. The IAMC is now soliciting abstracts for these four sessions. The topics for the four sessions are:
- Modeling impacts and adaptation in integrated assessment
- Using integrated assessment models to inform near-term international policy discussions
- Understanding mitigation, adaptation, and impacts through a multi-objective lens (e.g., co-benefits, sustainable development, food security, energy security, water, and other societal priorities)
- Modeling energy demand in integrated assessment
These sessions will include presentations on cutting edge research activities from members of the community followed by open group discussion of key priorities in these areas of research. It is expected that each session will include five to eight presentations, including several invited presentations.
We are also accepting posters that cover issues not in the set of four that are the focus of this year’s parallel sessions.
