Please Note – VISA Information for Travel:
Not all visitors need a VISA to travel to Brazil. In the case of VISA, Brazil applies the principle of reciprocity. This means that a VISA is only necessary for citizens from countries that also require VISA from citizens of Brazil. Thus, citizens from the European Union do not need a VISA to visit Brazil, while citizens from the United States, Canada, China, India and Japan, for example, need a VISA. So, we strongly recommend that you consult your travel agent for more information, or visit the website of the Brazilian Embassy / Consulate in your country for more information.
For those in need of a VISA, the following sample letter should be filled out and sent to Prof. Roberto Schaeffer (roberto@ppe.ufrj.br) with copy to Eveline Vasquez (evelinevasquez@gmail.com). The letter will then be signed and send it back to the potential VISA applicant.
Sample Invitation Letter which can be used as a template for VISA applications.
The deadline for submission of oral and poster presentation abstracts was July, 22 and submissions have been closed.
