DNE21+ model is developed for consistent and quantitative assessment of international framework and target regarding global warming beyond 2013, as well as of reduction effect of specific countermeasure technologies. Based on detailed technology data of every sector around the world, this model serves as a leading-edge analysis tool and enables detailed assessment of global and sectoral approach.
RITE’s model can assess cost-efficient global warming countermeasures for the period of up to 2030 while dividing world into 77 regions, in order to analyze and assess global warming framework beyond second commitment period while reflecting regional difference well in itself.
RITE’s integrated assessment framework consists of 3 modules; 1) Key Assessment Model DNE21+ for energy-related CO2, 2) Non-energy CO2 emission scenario, which assumes specific non-energy CO2 emissions separately from mitigation levels of energy-related CO2 emissions 3) Non-CO2 GHG Assessment Model, for mitigation of the five non-CO2 greenhouse gases emissions of the Kyoto Protocol, based on the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) assessments.
